‘RUKHSAT’ a farewell to batch ‘2015-17’ was bidden by the semester two students of Chandigarh College of Education on 5th of May, 2017. The guests who graced this occasion were S.Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman CGC, S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC, Mr. Tahir Suffi, Principal, HMCT, Er. AC Sharma , Dir. Admin, CGC were accompanied by Dr. Neena Sawhney, Principal CCE. The function began with a best wishes message of S. Satnam Singh Sandhu. He congratulated the passing-out students on being the first batch of two years B.Ed Programme. His encouraging words motivated the students to be a missionary teacher and consider the profession of teaching as dedication. In his farewell address he exhorted the students to stand for hardwork , discipline and punctuality in gaining knowledge and become an effective and successful teachers in their future lives. Subsequently, The students were given awards for excelling in academics and co-curricular activities throughout the session. Muskan Sharma (23) grabbed most of the awards including ‘Topper in Academics’ in the prize distribution ceremony. Furthermore, the students coloured the entire event with their colourful performances such as bhangra, songs, and skit. The seniors enjoyed the giving of titles to them by their seniors which bore an apt description of each senior student. There was also organized ‘ Mr and Ms. CCE’ Pageant show by the junior students of the B.Ed . Deepak Kumar (79) and Ms. Dilpreet (18) were selected Mr and Ms. CCE after three rounds of the modelling , comprising of interview round, talent round and question round. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks and best wishes to the alumni by Dr. Neena Sawhney. She blessed the students and wished them a good luck for their bright future ahead . There was served a sumptuous lunch for the students in the college canteen .
