The students of Chandigarh College of Education celebrated ‘AIDS Day’ on December 1, 2016. Students engaged themselves meaningfully in one of the prevalent social concerns of today. Students participated in the poster making. Apart from this students also made a ‘HUMAN CHAIN’ depicting the feeling of cooperation and empathy that the AIDS victims desire from the society they live in. In addition to this, students also had a discourse in which they discussed the causes of the spread of this deadly disease and what safeguards one can adopt to protect oneself. Dr. Neena Sawhney, Principal, CCE was also present along with Dr. Jagtar Singh Khattra, Dir. Academics, CGC and Mr. Rajesh Hooda, Dean Students Welfare, CGC to appreciate the students’ philanthropic endeavour at the event.
