Blood Donation Camp’ was organized by Chandigarh College of Education

“Blood Donation Camp’ was organized by Chandigarh College of Education, a constituent of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, landran in association with Deptt. Of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh and Rotary club, Kharar on 13th March, 2018. The camp was inaugurated by the chief guest Sh. Karnesh Sharma (IAS) Director, Local Body Punjab accompanied by S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC, Dr. PN Harisheekesha, Campus Dir., CGC, Er. AC Sharma, Dir. HR & ADMIN, CGC and Dr. Sneh Bansal, Principal, CCE. A team of doctors and interns led by Dr. Dr. Hari Krishan Dhawan, Asst. Prof, Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine screened around 600 volunteers. Sh. Kamaldeep Singh Tiwana , Chairman and Mr. Gurmukh Singh, President, Rotary Club, Kharar were also present along with other esteemed members. There was witnessed an overwhelming number of blood donors. The team collected around 450 units of the blood. During the camp donors were given wholesome and nutritious refreshment along with certificates of recognition from the PGIMER and Rotary Club for the noble cause of saving somebody’s life by donating one’s blood. The camp concluded on a note of service to humanity.
